Dimitris Allos declares at once his intention to launch on a geological exploration of language and to bring out its most neglected metals. He explores colloquial language, without denying its trivial or even vulgar elements; he carefully marks where seams are made with the poetic idiolects; and he maps a language territory made anew because of these seams, thus rearranging language and world ……….
………….Conclusively, in Allos’ poetry the language does not describe but creates, the words and images do not photograph reality but specify it— and this happens dew to a fertile imitation act which illuminates thing and name alike.
